(Left) Specialty Tall Candle Holder - "Triple Cross" design, turned with a technique called inside-out. The initial turn was done with the cross design inside-out, split, flipped and glued, and finished as you now see it. This was made from two pieces of African Mahogany.
(Right) Specialty Tall Candle Holder - "Eccentric" is made with 2 axises. The basic shaped was turned, then axises were changed to keep the center the same and the top moved off center. These areas were sanded and finished. Returning to its original center axis, the rest was turned, sanded and finished. This was made of Red Oak. |
